Lakewood Missions

Lakewood Missions is committed to...

Christ’s commission to make disciples of all peoples and to being His witnesses to the world.

• Being involved in the proclamation of the Gospel, discipling of new believers and the establishment of new healthy churches regionally, nationally and globally.

• Providing care, extending mercy and serving others in ways that meet the tangible needs of people as we communicate the love and truth of Christ’s Gospel.

• Supporting missionaries, outreaches and other ministries that align with our church mission and core values.

• Increase and foster a desire in individuals within the Body of Lakewood EFC to pray for and reach out with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their family, friends and neighbors as well as other peoples and cultures.

LOCAL AND NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH

Lakewood Missions believe that serving starts at home. We are connected to our community and serve in many ways locally. Some of the organizations we support close to home are: Habitat for Humanity, Jail Ministry, Lakes Area Pregnancy Support, The Pulse and the Word Radio, Bridges of Hope, MN Adult & Teen Challenge, Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen, Shamineau Ministries, Timber Bay camps and Brainerd Area Youth for Christ to name a few. Contact Pastor Dave with the link below to find out how you can get connected and serve locally.

LAKEWOOD CRISIS RESPONSE

When crises happen, a unique mission field develops as people ask the questions, "Why?" and "What now?" In times like these, previously closed doors can become opportunities to share the gospel. Lakewood Mobilize is a team of volunteers who gather regularly to encourage each other, train in crisis response, raise funds for future opportunities and stand ready to deploy when the call comes whether in our neighborhood or around the world. Would you like to join us?

MISSIONARY AND LOCAL OUTREACH PARTNERS

Lakewood Missions supports 28 missionary partners that serve locally, nationally and globally.  We partner with them through financial support and care.  We have 7 Missions Care teams that have nearly 50 people that meet regularly for prayer and encouragement of our missionaries. We often also send teams to our missionaries locations to support them in ministry.  Check out the Lakewood Missions Corner for many of the missionaries latest prayer requests and newsletters.

SHORT TERM MISSIONS

Short-Term Mission Team experiences can be an important step in preparing for long-term kingdom work or life at home as a Christian. Whether giving a weekend, a week, or longer, serving other cross-culturally will give you a bigger picture of God's kingdom and a deeper understanding of the world's needs. You will serve others in new and meaningful ways, increase your faith and grow in your relationship with God and others. Be Bold! Step outside of your comfort zone and watch God at work.

Next Team: Alaska 2023- April 29- May 6.
